My wife and I have a slight disagreement about the proper way to make Matzah Brei - a dish that Jews eat during passover. While trying to Google my way to winning this argument, I learned you can make matzah brei sweet, savory, with salsa, cheese, or just about any way. I also learned that many people get very passionate about their matzah brei.
Well, I decided that this year, Henry is going to learn how I make it.
Henry's Matzah Brei
3 eggs
1/2 cup of milk
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
One mashed banana (oops, this didn't get into my video)
Salt to taste
Oil or butter for the pan
Break up the matzah into a bowl, add the ingredients, mix, cook in a pan.
It's tasty. Just ask Henry.
And as for cooking with a 2 1/2 year old, my biggest recommendation is to put all the ingredients in little cups for easy pouring. It makes it easy and more interactive.
I just came across this related video. Really interesting.
