This post is part of our Friday-morning series on the fun, healthy snacks that kids love. Check out other recipe posts here.
In honor of the recent study showing that fun names make kids like veggies more, I renamed my creamed spinach Galactic Green Sauce. And Henry loves it.
It's easy. It's tasty enough for a 2 year old. It's really healthy. What could be better? Oh yeah, it's bright green. (Take that, purple ketchup.)
There's no real recipe here, the proportions are all adjusted to taste. But you can't mess it up -- just give it a try.
Galactic Green Sauce
Powered g Garlic powder
Cheese (I like feta, Parmesan also works well)
Herb of your choice (cilantro, basil, oregano... whatever you like)
Salt to taste
Now serve it over any grilled, broiled, baked fish, chicken, meat,
whatever. It's really tasty. And as Henry says, "it's greeny."
Henry is so eloquent!
What's powered garlic?
