I agree, The Third Teacher is a fantastic book for offering perspective on learning environments.
While there's a ton of noise on school reform, how much attention is paid to the spaces our kids learn (or the curriculum, but that's a whole other subject...)? Kids are not products to be manufactured and they shouldn't be learning in factories designed for the industrial revolution!
