Today we're thrilled to share the winning moment from Cooking up Change, when the student chefs of Chicago Vocational Career Academy (CVCA) learned that they won first place with their flavorful lunch of oven-fried chicken with sides of sweet potato salad and collard greens and cabbage.
The students will receive scholarships to Washburne Culinary Institute and will travel to Washington, DC to compete in the Cooking up Change national finals. They will also see their meal served in high schools across Chicago!
Please join us in celebrating with this remarkable team!
