We're counting down the days until the first annual Green Apple Day of Service, run by our friends at the U.S. Green Building Council's Center for Green Schools. On September 29, thousands of volunteers across the country will be helping schools get greener and healthier. Projects include planting a garden, hosting a gathering to talk about making schools safer, organizing a green-themed scavenger hunt, and more. Some projects can be done in less than 60 minutes.
